TelepaText provides essential text document editing, with extensive actions for text, research, speaking, sharing and viewing, built for iPad, iPhone, macOS and iCloud. Text-to-speech, dictation, speech commands and speech feedback are featured in TelepaText. Documents are automatically synced between your devices with iCloud. A common display style and command interface is provided on both platforms for best productivity.

Speech commands

- The iPhone/iPad version of Speech Commands provide a additional range of search commands targeting various web search engines.
- Speech Commands are a powerful Siri-like TelepaText-based extension to speech control functionality.
- Speech Commands Reference view displays the complete phrase structure for speech commands, indicating vocabulary and variations in the basic grammar.
- Configure the Speak action (text-to-speech) in Settings to the desired speaking rate, pitch, and paragraph / sentence pause intervals.
- Speech Commands are an In-App Purchase, and require the Dictation capability on your iOS device.
- Note: There are differences in the Speech Command sets and functionality between macOS and iPhone.

Where to find Actions on iPad, iPhone and macOS:
- On iPad, Actions are chosen from icon buttons at the top, right to left.
- On iPhone, the Menu button at top-right of document editing view opens the Actions view. Action buttons are also in the bottom toolbar.
- On macOS, main actions are in the Edit menu and in the optional toolbar of the editing windows.
- Keyboard shortcuts for actions are the same on both iOS with hardware keyboard and macOS, which makes it easier to shift between devices. See Keyboard shortcuts for TelepaText.
- Actions are performed on the selected text. Some actions can use the entire document, such as Mail.
- Rename a document by tapping it's title in the editing view.
- iCloud support is available on Yosemite macOS 10.10 and iOS 8 and later.

iCloud text editing
- TelepaText supports plain-text document editing.
- Dictation (speech-to-text) supported on Siri-capable iPhone and iPad and on macOS.
- To select an entire paragraph on iPad or iPhone, do a two finger tap.
- Add text on iPhone or iPad and it appears on the Mac, and vice versa.
- iOS and macOS changes autosaved? Yes!
- Are offline iOS and macOS changes synced? Yes.
- Conflict resolution on macOS is automatic.
Keyboard shortcuts for text editing are the same on both iOS with hardware keyboard and macOS, which makes it easier to shift between devices. On iPad and iPhone, Keyboard Shortcuts are only available if you are using an external Bluetooth keyboard.

iOS App Actions
- Change the font size with a two-finger pinch or spread touch gesture.
- Tap with two fingers to select a text paragraph.
- Choose actions on selected text or the entire document from the edit menu or from the Actions button.
- Open a selected text URL into Safari.
- Use selected text word or phrase for a web search (Google) in Safari.
- Tweet selected text via the Twitter service.
- E-mail selected text or entire document in Mail.
- Rename the current document by tapping the document name in the top of the editing view.
- Standard printing support, with customizable font size taken from the current document view.
- Add or remove words to the spelling dictionary with Learn Word and Unlearn Word in the edit menu.
- If iCloud is not used, you can still create documents and one level of folders locally on your iOS device.
Document Listing Actions on iOS and macOS
- One level of folders is supported. The root directory is Documents, and folders can be created in Documents only.
- To return to the root Documents folder, tap Return to Documents.
- To enter a folder, tap the folder in the document listing.
Document Listing Actions on iOS
- The menu button in the Documents view provides several actions: New in iCloud, New in local, New Folder, View by Name, View by Date (Modified or Created), View by Size, Refresh Folder, and others.
- Choose View by Name for an alphabetical document listing.
- Choose View by Date (Modified or Created) to see a date sorted document listing, with the most recent at the top.
- If you don't see your iCloud documents, you might need to choose Refresh Folder.
- To delete a document, swipe left in the document listing and confirm the delete.
- To delete multiple documents in the document listing, tap the Edit button.
- To create a new document in iCloud storage or locally on the device, tap the menu button and tap New Document.
TelepaText Features on macOS

- Drag and drop support in TelepaText for moving documents in and out of iCloud storage. Choose the Open panel from the File menu and choose iCloud at the top of the panel. Then drag text documents from the Mac desktop or folders to the Open panel, or drag text documents from the Open panel out to the Mac desktop or desired folder.
